Because of the drying process, butter powder actually has less fat than real butter. It reconstitutes more like a margarine. It is fine for baking with or spreading on toast. Just follow the instructions on the can to know how much water to add.
With it missing a portion of it's fat and most of it's water, butter powder will not rise as high or brown as much in baking. But you won't miss the flavor one bit!
