Sample Version of a "Home Store" Presentation

My name is:

I am from:
I am so glad to be here
I am a consultant with THRIVE FOODS.
I’ve been a consultant since:
And I love what I do.
If you are interested in an opportunity like this, let me know or check the box on your order form and we can talk. This is a wonderful company with lots of amazing products.

What I do is teach people how to save, time, money and eat more healthily by building a HOME STORE.
How often do you run to the grocery store for 1 item and come back with 10? You’ve just used up a lot of time, gas, and money on that trip for one item. What if you had this item in your HOME STORE?

How often do you throw away wilted vegetables or moldy fruit? Twenty five percent of our groceries are thrown in the garbage every week! What is your fruit and vegetables could last longer, be more healthy and have no added sugar, salt or preservative in them?

How often do you find you have no time to put together a dinner! You scurry around throwing ingredients together to later find out your forgot to defrost the ground beef?

These are problems we all face in our everyday lives. And I’m here to show you how we can fix them.
Let’s have a look at a couple of our most common kitchen ingredients?

Pass around: celery, mushrooms, sour cream powder, roast beef. None of these will go bad in your fridge!
Talk about eggs and neighbors. How many eggs? If you borrow you have to treat back!

Turn with me in your cookbooks to page:
This is why THRIVE FOOD is so good for you, saves you time and saves you money.

Explain FREEZE dried v. dehydrated.

Is this something you could make at home for your family?

Explain rehydration and conversion table

By getting the ingredients you use the most, you can make all your family’s favorite meals right from your pantry.
Let’s try an activity. Hand out paper and pens

In this first column, write the name of your family’s 2 favorite dinners

In this column fill in the meat, dairy, dried/canned, fruit and vegetable

Now let’s have a volunteer share their favorite meal.

Okay: let’s use this recipe to figure out what “Heather” needs to have in your HOME STORE.

Choose another volunteer. Do the same.

The “HOME STORE” concept, is the best way to save you time, money and anxiety you might have felt over meals for you and your family. And it is available for you to build online.

You can build a supply of your favorite recipes and staples and get them delivered right to your door once a month. Put it away to use it on a regular basis or even save it for a rainy day.

You choose your favorite food and you choose the delivery date.

When you set up your shipments, you are always guaranteed the lowest price available online! For $100 a month or more, you will receive exclusive recipes from our Thrive Chefs, Coupons and Discounts as well as earn free product.

FAQ about using the Q

All this information is from the Shelf Reliance Website:

What forms of payment do you accept for the THRIVE Q?
We accept all credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, and American Express).

How do I update my credit card information?
Select the "My Q Settings" button on your dashboard (located on the left-hand side of the screen).

What if my credit card expires or is declined?
If your credit card is declined for any reason, you will be sent an e-mail informing you of this issue. Your Q shipments will be frozen until the issue is resolved. Any issue can be resolved by calling our front office at 801-756-9902 or by emailing q@shelfreliance.com

How can I access my Q through your website?
To access your THRIVE Q, sign into your account on our website (www.shelfreliance.com). Hover over the "Food Storage" tab on the homepage, then select “THRIVE Q.”

How do I pause my plan?
Once your plan is in place and your Q has started, a blue "Pause Shipment" button will appear on your Q Summary page. Clicking this button will pause your Q indefinitely and remove your payment information. If you’d like to skip shipments instead of pausing your plan, you can do so by changing the date of your next shipment on the “Edit Shipments” page.

I've noticed a difference in the price of my plan. Why have I seen a fluctuation?
The price of your Q plan will fluctuate depending on our current website pricing. If an item in your plan goes on or off sale, or up or down in retail price, your Q will automatically reflect that change. This will cause the total amount of your plan and monthly shipments to fluctuate. You will always get the lowest sale price on your plan items.

When will packages arrive at my home?
Packages will be shipped out the day you select to be billed every month. Shipments will usually arrive at your home within 5-7 business days from the shipping date.

Why don't my monthly shipments match my exact budget amount?
Our THRIVE Q calculates shipments based on your monthly budget amount. You will never be charged more than your monthly budget amount, but your shipments will probably never add up to that exact amount. The THRIVE Q will get as close to your monthly budget as possible; however, the varying costs of our food storage cans make it impossible to meet your exact budget amount every month.

Why is there a minimum monthly budget for my Q?
In order for the THRIVE Q to properly function, your monthly budget amount must be greater than the amount of your most expensive can (to include that can and shipping). If you input a monthly budget that does not cover the most expensive can in your plan plus shipping charges, a box will pop up and inform you what your minimum amount must be. As long as your monthly budget amount covers the most expensive can in your plan, no other minimums will be applied to your THRIVE Q.

What if I don't live in the continental U.S. and would like to create a THRIVE Q plan?
We do not currently offer a THRIVE Q option for customers outside the continental United States.

How do I create a food storage plan for my Q?
To create your plan, simply visit our food storage calculator, the THRIVE Planner, and enter your family’s information. Once you submit your profile, our calculator will automatically generate a food storage plan based on your settings. Once your plan has been created, click the “Set Up Monthly Shipments” button to move the food in your plan to the THRIVE Q.

We understand the nutritional requirements and taste preferences of individuals vary, which is why we allow you to edit your plan to your specific needs. You can add, remove, or edit the quantity of any item in your plan.

How do I set up my THRIVE Q?
Once you've selected the THRIVE Q option, you will be prompted to sign into the Shelf Reliance website. If you do not already have an account, you can easily create one on the login page. Once you have signed in, you will be directed to your personal THRIVE Q settings page.

You can edit your Q in any way you wish. When you wish to begin shipments, you can enter your payment information by clicking the “Begin Shipments” button. Your Q is not activated until your payment information has been added.

Once this information is entered, our Q will automatically divide your plan into monthly shipments.

How are my monthly shipments calculated?
When you enter your monthly budget, our Q divides your plan into monthly shipments that meet your financial parameters. The number of shipments depends on the monthly budget you select.

How can I see how many shipments I have left and how many I've received?
Your THRIVE Q Dashboard features a THRIVE Q Summary near the top of the page. This summary displays your monthly budget, the number of shipments you have yet to receive, and the number of shipments you have already received.

How do I add more products to my Q?
Click the “Add Products” button, located on the left side of your THRIVE Q Dashboard. Doing so will take you to shop for the food you want to add to the Q. Find the food you’d like to add, enter a quantity for that food, then click the “Add to Thrive Q” link on the product page.

How do I edit individual shipments?
Click the “Edit Shipments” button on your THRIVE Q Dashboard. You’ll be able to edit the date and budget for individual shipments on this page. You can also select specific items to be included in your next shipment.

How do I increase/decrease my current monthly budget?
If at any time you would like to increase or decrease your monthly budget amount, you can do so on the My Q Summary page. Click the “Edit” button next to your Monthly Budget, enter the new amount, and click “Save.”

To alter your budget amount for a single shipment, click on the "Edit Shipments" button and navigate to the shipment you’d like to edit. Click the “Change” button next to the Order Cap for that shipment, enter the new amount, and click “Save.” Changing this amount will only affect the shipment you are currently editing.

How do I take Party Orders?

Many party guests want to take some time to look over their price list and discuss items with their significant other. Give everyone 2 to 3 days to do this. I would suggest not going longer than that simply because people forget and get busy.

Allow your guests to take your party price list with them and have them leave you their customer order forms. Make sure they fill in their name, email and phone number and sign the bottom of the order form.

When you call them later on, remind them that even placing one order with the party will qualify them for future party pricing online.

Also ask them if they are interested in becoming a consultant or having a party of their own. Having a party of their own will award their hostess $100 worth of product for 50% off.

The easiest way to take payment for a purchase is by credit card. Have the guests read their number to you over the phone. You will enter this information online. The system online does not store credit card information and you can black out that part of the order form when you are done with processing.

If a guest pays by cash or check then you must enter your own personal credit card information online to make the payment. This sometimes makes balancing your own credit card history a little tricky.

If you are paid by check make sure the check is written out to you since you'll be using your credit card information to make the online payment.

Whenever possible, take a credit card number. And don't forget to check that the billing and shipping address are correct. Sometimes they are different.

We cannot ship to PO Boxes. You will have to get a physical address for these purchases because they are shipped via FED EX ground.

How do you reconstitute Freeze Dried Cheese?

  • Spread cheese thinly on a dinner plate or shallow pie plate.
  • Add COLD water and let rehydrate for about 2-3 minutes
  • Give it a little toss and spread it thinly again
  • Leave it to rehydrate another 2 minutes.
  • Strain by tipping plate slightly into the sink
  • Avoid using a strainer so your cheese won't clump together.
    Wala - perfect rehydrated cheese!
I'm sure at this point you could let it dry out a little more then put it in a ziplock and refrigerate. Adding a little cornstarch to the dry cheese might help it not to stick, too :) You might ask why I use COLD water... well, have you ever left shredded cheese out on the counter on a warm day - gooey, clumps, right! Limit the clumping by using COLD rather than HOT water to rehydrate cheese. It works PERFECTLY!

At Shelf Reliance we sell FD Mozarella, FD Cheddar, FD Colby, and FD Monterry Jack!

What is the difference between real butter and butter powder?

The taste of these two is great! The butter powder really tastes like butter.
Because of the drying process, butter powder actually has less fat than real butter. It reconstitutes more like a margarine. It is fine for baking with or spreading on toast. Just follow the instructions on the can to know how much water to add.

With it missing a portion of it's fat and most of it's water, butter powder will not rise as high or brown as much in baking. But you won't miss the flavor one bit!

What are the most important points to make in my presentation?

  1. Freeze Dried is your optimum, most high quality and longest lasting food storage
  2. Freeze Dried has no sugar, salt or preservatives
  3. Freeze Dried lasts 20-25 years sealed and 1-2 year opened
  4. The Q is the easiest and surest way to save you money on your food storage every month
  5. Freeze Dried meats are pre-cooked and diced or chopped
  6. Reconstituting means adding water back into the food that was taken out by the freeze drying process
  7. You can eat freeze dried food right out of the can
  8. Build a food storage supply that includes your most commonly used and perishable refrigerated items i.e. sour cream, butter, eggs, cheese etc
  9. Create a free planner online to see what you need to for your family in a complete of food storage plan
  10. Our planner and Q allows you to choose your budget, the supply amount and how many calories for each person
  11. The Q is customizable: choose the food you like
  12. Our Shelving is our most recognizable product. The largest one is the Harvest and it can hold more than 460 cans of food storage in varied sizes
  13. Our "Cansolidators" can hold 20-40-60 cans. They are great for kitchen organization
  14. The emergency supply list is very vast and complete. You can even create a planner based on your family size and emergency
  15. As a customer, you will always get the party price so you can shop online at your leisure
  16. Our desserts are add water and bake
There is plenty more you can add of course. But don't forget these details!

What is the Party Supply Benefit Form and When do I use it?

The Party Supply Benefit form can be used whenever you've given a party that you were not the host for. It can be found under consultant materials on your dashboard or by clicking "Party Supply Benefit" on the left hand side menu bar.

It's a way for consultants to get more product to replenish what they use at parties.

You can combine parties as well to raise your benefits. A $500 party will award you $50 at half off and a $1000 party or higher will award you $100 at half off.

You can earn from $50-$100 of product for 50% off using this form. One hundred dollars at half off is the cap.

How Do I earn commission from Q sales?

THRIVE Q Sales

$0 - $399 20% 5% →
$400 - $799 22% 5% →
$800 - $1,199 24% 5% →
$1,200 - $1,999 26% 5% →
$2,000 - $2,999 28% 5% →
$3,000 - $3,999 30% 5% →
$4,000 + 32% 5% →

New THRIVE Q customers must stay on the Q for a minimum of 3 months for consultants to qualify for commissions.

You will receive 5% commission each month from those on the THRIVE Q.

Each month the company will add up how many Q dollars you have earned for brand new Q's. They use the chart on the left to determine your payout % based on that number.

The 2nd month and so on after that you only earn the 5% commission on your Q customers.

So if you sign up 10 people on the Q this month, each for $100 a month, then that is $1000 in Q dollars which means you are earning 24% on those brand new Q's!

Along with building a team, building your Q customer list is essential in your business.

Q's will count as a sale that you didn't have to scout out and you earn commission every month from it.

This is absolutely unique to Shelf Reliance. No one else has this and it makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE! And it makes it possible to earn more commission each month and give less parties as well.

Note: You do not earn commission on your own personal Q. That goes to the person that signed you up on the Q. Sometimes that is your enroller and sometimes it isn't. Because of the residual income benefit, Q orders don't move from consultant to consultant, they are fixed.

A customer can still purchase from someone else, but their Q remains with you.

As I sign up new consultants, where should I place them?

If you've just begun the business, chances are you've reached the rank of mentor and maybe director. Since you don't have a down line yet to earn commission on, I would suggest you keep all your new sign ups right on your first level; as close to you as possible.
As soon as you reach the higher ranks like the executives it will benefit you to have a team that goes deeper.
It's best to not build a team so deep when you are so young in the business. Because you won't be able to earn anything based on their sales simply because your own rank isn't one you can benefit from yet. Don't worry, that changed quickly!

These are the ranks and the percents you can gain as you reach these ranks
Consultant 0%
Mentor 1%
Director 2%
Executive 2% 1%
Silver Executive 2% 2%
Gold 2% 2% 1%
Platinum 2% 2% 2%

Remember, each month is new. If you hit the rank of Executive in December and only hit the rank of mentor in January, you get paid as a mentor in January. You keep your title but you get paid based on your sales for that month.

$150 $5,000 $100,000 Gold Executive 2% 2% 1%
$150 $5,500 $200,000 Platinum Executive 2% 2% 2%

To qualify for team earnings and progress in rank, you must meet specific totals for:

1. Your personal THRIVE Q order for the month
2. Total personal sales for the month (these include your party orders for the month as well as any Q orders you ever signed up that processed that month)
3. Total team sales for the month (your sales plus three levels below you)

Earnings are based on the lowest qualifying total.

Note: Monthly totals are based on the calendar month. Team earnings will fluctuate according to each month’s totals, however your rank will remain at it’s highest point.

How To Use the Q

Hello!

We love the monthly Q but sometimes it gets confusing when you first start working with it. I want to write up a couple of helpful tips and strategies to get your Q running smoothly every month!

Step 1: Log in at www.shelfreliance.com and check "Q Settings." Make sure everything there is correct. Once you've done this just be aware your CC number will not be saved for safety purposes. As long as you see the your expiration date you'll know it's secure in the system.

Step 2: Click "EDIT SHIPMENTS" button on the left hand side menu to edit what comes to you each month. Hint: you can set up more than one month at a time.

Step 3: Add or edit product for your monthly shipments by clicking "remove" or searching in the choices below on the color catergories and choosing "add to shipment."

Step 4: to get as close to your budget as possible, be sure to add some smaller pantry cans or pouches by clicking "ADD" product in the left hand menu. Choose anything you like just be sure to click "ADD TO Q" and not add to cart.

Step 5: if you want to spend a little extra this month, you are given a buffer in the system. It starts at $20 and you must approve it and any buffer larger than that as well. You will be able to see this under "Edit shipments" on the left hand menu and then under your budget.

Step 6: prices change monthly, log into your Q at least 3 days before your Q is scheduled to ship and make sure you are getting exactly what you'd like. Sometimes when prices go down, you'll have a little bit more wiggle room to add more product.

Step 7: if you know you'll absolutely never ever want Freeze Dried Peas for example, you can take them out of your Q entirely by choosing "VIEW/EDIT" product on the left hand side menu and click REMOVE.

Step 8: Be sure your Q is always full of your favorite foods so you will always love what comes to you even if you don't the chance to go in and have a look each month. If your Q is empty it will automatically stop! If it stops you lose your Platinum status.

Step 9: You all are Platinum Q members which means you get discounts on shipping and product and exclusing products, recipes, and earn points toward free product!
You should see "Platinum Q" right on your Q dashboard, if you don't, let me know! If you stop your Q you lose the status.

Step 10: Your budget is static for the first 3 months of your Q so be sure you choose a budget you'll be happy with. After the 3 months are up, change your budget to any amount. There's not limit up or down!

Hope these steps have helped you!

Please let me know how I can help!
